About This Site
This site has passed validation
What does that mean, it means using the W3 Standards Authority's online code validator this pages coding has passed with zero errors and zero warnings. This means it should also work in most browsers that support W3 Standards, however it is possible display errors might occur due to browser inconsistances.
Welcome to the about page, this page will go over how this page was constructed, problems I encountered and anything else that I need to mention.
Why I chose this subject
Put simply this seemed the easiest project to put together in terms of content as I already know basic HTML and during this course I've learnt basic XHTML, so all I had to do was write the differences between the two. It does seem a well done subject but I felt I put a nice twist on it
What problems have I encountered?
Oddly enough the problem I had resulted with me recoding the whole page, the previous page passed validation however in firefox there was always a large empty gap in the top and internet explorer would not show the background colour, no matter the changes I made nothing seemed to work. The page has now been recoded, the only minor problems with the new version is everything has to be left floating and I can't get 100% page width if I specify a fixed width in the menu div.
How the page was built
You can pritty much follow the step-by-step to figure out how I did the coding, however the title image was made using photoshop and paint shop pro effects on a few circles and lines.
