Hello, and welcome to Loki 7, dreaming in the shade since '99. Feel free to browse around the site and take a look at the works published within the writing archive, photos in the gallery or just generally nosey at what's around here.

The news on the front page is usually updated on a regular basis and everytime a new feature is added to the site, or a new artical a news update is posted. To help you keep upto date with all the latest news on the site the news has an RSS feed attached to it that is availble in two formats, the first is a straight RSS Feed that you can subscribe to, the second is a syndicated account on Livejournal that you can subscribe to and it will place news updates on your friends page. Read on for the latest news regarding Loki 7.

So got back from Alton Towers not too long ago from a weekend trip there, was amazing fun even though I don't think I was off my feet for very long *rubs sore feet*, still amazing weekend there! I'll do a proper write-up of it another time, for now some photos are below and to view the full gallery click here. A selection are posted below ^_^

Friends List Tidyup

Just been tidying up my MSN Messenger contact list, along with my LJ friends page. I've only taken off people I haven't talked to in over a year or haven't updated their LJ in quite a while. If I've removed you and you actually still read this thing then comment and I'll add you back ^_^

Loki 7 Version 78 Released

So I've finished updating my websites style to version 78 (Blaze Blue). Based off the previous style (Windmile) and a quick sketch I produced the following wireframe in photoshop:

From there I coded the new template up using hard-coded CSS before moving the CSS into an external stylesheet which has produced the following design:

Still got bits to finish updating and to add but I think it came out quite well?

NB: Site should be standards compliant and cross-browser compliant along with working well in resolutions 1024 and above, however with the LJ import component that I use for the front page the standards compliant bit might break sometimes due to the nasty way I have to do it :/ Also I need to work on the mobile stylesheet for resolutions below 1024 again since the old one was designed for the prev style in mind.

I honestly wish they were running in my area so I could vote for them:

Health & Safety: We propose to ban Self Responsibilty on the grounds that it may be dangerous to your health.
M.P's Expenses: We propose that instead of a second home allowance M.P's will have a caravan which will be parked outside the Houses of Parliament. This will make it easier as flipping a caravan is easier than flipping homes
Eurofit: The European Constitution which will be sorted out by going for a long Walk. "As everyone knows that walking is good for the constitution"
The speaker in the House of Commons will be replaced by the latest audio equipment
To help the Israel/Palestinian Problem, we will get rid of the old road map, and replace it with a new sat nav instead
European Union: It is proposed that the European Union end its discrimination by creating a "Court of Human Lefts" because their present policy is one -sided.
Education: We will increase the number of Women teachers throughout the education System as we are strong believers of 'Female Intuition'
Immigration and Population: I propose that we cap the population of this country. We have too many people for such a small country, so we will Cap the number of people residing here at present rates (approximately 63 million, give or take 10 mill ) on the basis of one out, one in (excluding Births).

Regarding Immigration... Any Person who can prove that they or their descendants emigrated to the U.K before 55 A.D can stay. All the others will be repatriated to their original country. (Well we have to draw the line somewhere)
We will ban all forms of Greyhound racing. This will help stop the counrty going to the dogs.
Afghanistan, Iraq and the War on terror. Theirs nothing funny about this. however as we have not found any taliban terrorists in Derbyshire. Our Soldiers can all come home now.
